From San Jose Airport: 3.5 to 4 Hour drive
Head north on Highway 1. After about 2 hours Make a left going towards Puente La Amistad (There will be a shell gas station on your left right at that turn). At the end of this road you will turn Right on Highway 21 toward Nicoya and Santa Cruz. After you get to Santa Cruz you will see a Banco de Costa Rica on your left, keep straight and you will then see and ESSO gas station on your right. Keep straight you will then cross a small bridge and then make your next left just after the bridge. This road will turn into a dirt road eventually. Once it does you will make your first left. Go for about 1km then make a right. This road will end in Paradiso where you will be forced to make a right or left (there will be a soccer field on your right) Make a right and you are only 4km from Playa Negra. Follow signs for Rancho Playa Negra. Right before the entrance to Rancho on the left is Piko Negro. Here is where you will meet Joel to get the keys and he will take you to the house.

*NOTE: Always follow signs to Rancho Playa Negra, you will see a lot of them after turning off of Highway 1 heading towards the bridge.

From Liberia Airport: 1.5 Hour drive
Exit airport by turning right onto Highway 21 going toward Santa Cruz. Just before you get to Santa Cruz you will make a right onto a road that will have a green sign that indicates it goes in the direction of Playa Junquillal. If you go across a bridge and see an ESSO gas station on your left you have gone slightly to far. Turn around go back across bridge and make your first left after the bridge. This road will turn into a dirt road eventually. Once it does you will make your first left. Go for about 1 km then make a right. This road will end in Paradiso where you will be forced to make a right or left (there will be a soccer field on your right) Make a right and you are only 4km from Playa Negra. Follow signs for Rancho Playa Negra. Right before the entrance to Rancho on the left is Piko Negro. Here is where you will meet Joel to get the keys and he will take you to the house.
